“Summer Charities of Choice” Gets Employees Involved in Helping Others
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – American Profit Recovery, a collection agency based in Michigan and Massachusetts, has spent another summer season raising money for a number of charitable organizations.
This year, employees raised over $1,800 in and around the office this summer by paying for the option of dressing causal and participating in a number of other fun activities in the office. All money was raised through employee contributions and donated to charities of their choosing.
Each year the staff nominates charities they have an affinity towards and funds raised go to those organizations. In the past several years, over $16,000 has been raised during the summer months at the offices of American Profit Recovery, all through the dedication of staff members.
“We feel it is important for our employees to have a say in how we support charitable organizations,” states Jeff DiMatteo, a partner at American Profit Recovery. “Everyone acts as a team as we try to raise funds for all the organizations nominated which in our opinion creates a better team.”
This year, employees nominated both local and regional charities. Many donations were given in memory of someone or to honor individuals this year. Those charities include:
- ARMing Heroes
- Framingham Country Club Charitable Foundation
- American Diabetes Association
- Oakland County Sheriff Office Benefit for the Disabled
- Alzheimer’s Assoc.
- Beaumont Foundation
- Michigan Lupus Foundation
- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
- MDA Muscular Dystrophy Assoc.
- Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern MI
