Intrum Justitia acquires the Danish credit management operations Difko Inkasso A/S. The acquired operations run both a credit management operation and act as an investor in purchased debt. The company employs around 20 people and is expected to generate revenues of approximately 21 MDKK ($3.8 million) for 2011. The acquisition strengthens Intrum Justitia’s market position in Denmark.

“Difko Inkasso is a profitable and well-managed operation with an interesting client mix that will help strengthening our position in primarily the banking & finance sector,” says Rickard Westlund, Regional Managing Director of Region Northern Europe. “It is also increasing our market share in Denmark making us the number two player in the market. To gain market leadership in each local market is an important goal for us and this is a step in the right direction in the Danish market.”

The purchase sum is based on a net-debt-free valuation of DKK 45.5 M ($8.2 million). Revenues of DKK 21 M are expected for 2011 with an operating margin well in line with the margin of the Intrum Justitia Group.
