State Collection Service Executive Named to HFMA Medical Debt Advisory Taskforce

State Collection Service, Inc., a full-service accounts receivable management solutions provider, announces its Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer has been named to the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Medical Debt Advisory Taskforce.

The goal of the taskforce is to identify a common set of medical debt collection practices that can be standardized for widespread industry adoption. It is anticipated that these practices will lead to improvement in the overall collection process, the patient experience, and financial performance.

Members of the Taskforce include Hanson, representatives of ACA International, HFMA and healthcare providers.

Hanson has been involved with HFMA for over a decade. Additionally, Hanson serves in many voluntary leadership roles with ACA International. Most recently, she has established training protocols for the debt collection industry related to preparing for an audit by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
