Ontario Systems, a leading receivables management technology and services provider, has announced Chief Compliance Officer Rozanne Andersen will present at the 18th annual National Collections & Operational Risk Conference on March 25th, at 2:30PM/ET. She, and her co-presenter Jack Gordon, Founder of WebRecon, will join more than 30 influential practitioners from organizations including Citi Retail Services, Sallie Mae, ACA International, Dell Financial Services, and GM Financial, discussing collaborative resolutions to long-standing collection issues.
“We are thrilled to have Rozanne Andersen speaking at the event,” said Darren Waggoner, Chief Editor, Collections & Credit Risk and CCR Newsline. “Rozanne was several times named one of the top achievers in the collection industry by Collections & Credit Risk and CCR Newsline for her role in helping shape the industry’s legislative priorities. Her work includes traveling often to the U.S. capital and meeting frequently with federal and state lawmakers to discuss collection industry concerns.”
Andersen, specifically, will present findings from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB’s) consumer complaint portal, which has logged 10,000+ consumer debt collection complaints since July 2013. Attendees will learn how to analyze that data to enhance their own operations, bolster complaint and compliance management systems, and respond to new complaints as they are filed.
“Knowing how to analyze the data streaming from the CFPB’s Consumer Complaint Portal is a critical step in building a robust, resilient, compliance management system,” said Andersen. “Understanding the issues consumers raise, the practices that trigger complaints and the volume of complaints filed in various categories is quite literally a looking glass all members of the credit and collection industry need to understand, analyze and use.”
As a whole, the National Collections & Operational Risk Conference provides in-depth coverage of the most top-of-minds topics affecting creditors, debt recovery specialists, compliance experts, and operational risk management. This year’s event takes place in Miami Beach, Fla., and features workshops, case studies, and interactive panel discussions to help attendees update their own operations at home.
