A national debt-collection firm reports it will expand its workforce by as many as 300 employees over the next two years.
Enhanced Recovery Corporation, based in Jacksonville, Fla., will buy a former Winn Dixie storefront in Waycross, Ga., and spend $5.5 million converting it into a functioning call center, according to an article in the Savannah Morning News over the weekend.
The new call center is projected to be up and operational in the first three months of 2008, with an initial cadre of 150 employees. The company could add an additional 150 employees in 2009, according to an announcement made by Mark Thompson, CEO of the company.
