Account Control Technology, Inc. (ACT), a national leader in delivering debt recovery and business process outsourcing solutions, recently donated $32,014 to Susan G. Komen®, a nonprofit organization which works to end breast cancer in the U.S. and throughout the world through support for groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 30 countries.
The ACT donation includes money raised by employees from its local offices located in Bakersfield, California; Woodland Hills, California; Mason, Ohio; Dallas, Texas, and San Angelo, Texas. The company contributed additional funds in honor of its clients, and the Account Control Technology Foundation matched ACT employee donations.
ACT has held a companywide fundraising campaign to benefit Komen and in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month every October for the past four years, donating a total of more than $94,300 since 2011. Offices participate in luncheons, casual days, bake sales, contests, raffles, tournaments and more to build support for the cause.
“I am very proud of ACT employees for increasing their support for the fight against breast cancer year after year,” said Nabil Kabbani, CEO of ACT. “Our staff’s incredible generosity demonstrates that we truly are living our values to make a difference for our clients and our communities.”
In addition to donations by ACT and its employees, the Account Control Technology Foundation (ACT Foundation) has provided support to Komen for the past two years as part of its charter to fund vital charities. The Foundation also sponsors local and national college scholarships.
“The ACT Foundation is pleased to support Komen’s work,” said Dale Van Dellen, chairman of the ACT Foundation. “Ending breast cancer is vitally important to the health and stability of communities nationwide.”
“We at Komen are so inspired to see passionate employees like those at ACT who are dedicated to making an impact against this disease,” said Norm Bowling, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer at Komen. “Breast cancer has touched so many of our lives, and funds raised by ACT employees – more than $30,000 this year alone – will help women and men across the nation.”
