The National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA) 2013 Spring Collection Conference will take place at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas from May 8th through May 11th. The conference will provide an exciting variety of educational and networking opportunities and will include popular Keynote Speaker Peter Sheehan, who returns to the conference to discuss cutting-edge strategies for influencing other people’s decisions and behavior.
“Las Vegas provides a great setting for our 2013 Spring Collection Conference,” said NARCA President Lou Freedman, an attorney with the Illinois-based law firm of Freedman Anselmo Lindberg LLC. “Caesar’s Palace has made many improvements and will afford our members countless opportunities to network with clients, service providers and colleagues. Now, more than ever, the importance of attending the conference is critical to our members and NARCA is gearing its educational sessions to provide the latest updates and guidance on best practices for compliance and performance. With all that the NARCA Spring Collection Conference has to offer, I expect a new record for attendance.”
The NARCA Spring Collection Conference will include two full days of CLE-approved educational sessions on topical issues important to collection law firms, including the FCRA, employment law, service provider selection and management, CFPB supervision, authentication of records, FDCPA implied exceptions to litigation activity and law office audits. A separate Collections/Operations Managers track will provide a setting for the exchange of ideas to promote best practices and team success.
“Given the speed of change in our industry, staying on top of recent developments is more important than ever,” remarked Charlie Litow, an attorney with Litow & Pech, P.C and NARCA’s Education Pillar Chair. “Attorneys wishing to stay ahead of the curve will find these programs essential to the maintenance and improvement of their practices.”
