Requests for proposal from public sector entities seeking to outsource collection operations yielded approximately $479 million in portfolios available for bidding and eventual servicing in the last quarter.

Requestors included well-established receivables management outsourcers such as the City of Tulsa; Maricopa County, AZ; and the District of Columbia’s Office of Tax & Revenue.  New outsourcing opportunities this past quarter included those announced by Summit County, CO; the Bay Area Toll Authority in California; and Manatee County, FL.

  • The U.S. Department of Education held a one-day meeting for small businesses interested in its set aside contract for collection agencies.
  • OSI picked up contract awards from the State of Missouri and the State of Maryland.
  • Professional Placement Services was awarded a contract with Racine County, WI.
  • The State of West Virginia hired new agencies to include The Affiliated Group, Joseph, Mann & Creed, and Penncro Associates.
