Leading global interactive marketing services company Acxiom Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM) has been named a finalist to six categories in the 2008 American Business Awards.
Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars,” the American Business Awards – commonly known as “The Stevies” – is the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business.
“Acxiom’s success in the marketplace hinges in part on our ability to convey our value proposition in a compelling, eye-catching and targeted way,” said Rich Howe, Acxiom’s senior vice president – marketing.
More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. Acxiom will be competing in the following six:
Nominee: Acxiom Global Marketing Team; Category: Best Marketing Organization/Department
Nominee: Acxiom Corporation; Category: Best Marketing Campaign for Launch of InfoBase-X
Nominee: Marketing Services Leader Mimi S. San Pedro; Category: Best Marketing Executive for Solidifying Global Company Brand
Nominee: The New Acxiom.com; Category: Overall Design
Nominee: Acxiom’s LoomingRevolution.com; Category: Product Advertising
Nominee: Acxiom Corporation; Category: Best Communications or PR Campaign for Building Associate eXcitment
“The nominations themselves are a testament to our ability to promote ourselves. The fact that we are competing for the awards alongside brands like Accenture, Akamai, EMC and Edelman should signal our ability to compete with the best marketers in the world,” Howe said.
Award winners will be announced during the annual gala June 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Approximately 600 executives from across the country are expected to attend. The ceremony will be broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network and hosted by Liz Claman of FOX Business Network.
Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging of applications in April through early May.
