Three College Bound Students Awarded Loomer Mortenson Scholarship from ACA International

Three college bound students have been awarded a total of $5,000 in Loomer-Mortenson scholarships by the ACA International Education Foundation, the philanthropic arm of ACA International, the association of credit and collection professionals.

• First place winner ($3,000) is awarded to Ellen Vaught, Rocheport, Mo.  Vaught, a graduate of New Franklin High School in New Franklin, Mo. will study teaching at Columbia College in Columbia, Mo.

• Second place winner ($1,000) is awarded to Jaclyn Minges, Mason, Ohio.  Minges, a graduate of Fairfield Senior High School in Fairfield, Ohio will study adult education and training at St. Joseph’s College of Maine.

• Third place winner ($1,000) is awarded to Taylor Waag, Crystal, Minn.  Waag, a graduate of Armstrong High School will study photography at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

“Congratulations to Ellen, Jaclyn and Taylor as they continue their post-secondary studies and prepare for the future,” said ACA Foundation Chair Chris Wunder.

The Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship is offered to college-bound credit and debt collection professionals and their dependent children.  Three winners are selected each year from essays submitted by students.
