Stellar Recovery, Inc. announced today that Garrett Schanck, CEO/COO, has received notification from Florida State University of achieving the nomination of the top 30 graduates under 30 years of age for his personal and professional achievements.
The Florida State University Alumni Association’s Thirty Under 30 Award was created to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of FSU’s young alumni. Each recipient must show exceptional achievement and significant contributions to his or her profession, community/society or university. The recipient must exemplify outstanding professional and personal development either through traditional channels or innovative approaches. Garrett will be attending the awards ceremony on June 21st at FSU.
Garrett commented, “I am excited and honored to be selected among such an elite group.”
John Schanck, Chairman of Stellar Recovery, said, “Garrett has achieved so much in a short time in his personal and professional life.” Some of his personal accomplishments include establishing a scholarship fund at Bishop Kenny High School, sponsoring blood drives with the Florida Blood Alliance, donating time and money to Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Susan G. Komen, Girls and Boys Club, Junior Achievement, and is a Golden Chief Booster at Florida State.”
Garrett said, “I believe in giving back to the community and to our employees at Stellar.” Garrett established ESAT, Employee Satisfaction Achievement Team, which raises money for charity through Stellar’s employees by providing employees with snacks and drinks at discounted prices and then donating the money to local charities. ESAT provides employees with breakfast and lunches periodically throughout the month and is a “sounding board” for ALL of its employees.
Garrett has achieved great success at Stellar starting 3 days after graduating FSU in the spring of 2010. Within 8 months Garrett had hired and trained 30 account representatives and quickly took the roll of COO and managed over 60 employees. With the rapid growth of Stellar, Garrett moved back to Jacksonville, Florida in December of 2010 and oversaw the leasing and build-out of 8,000 square feet of office space at 4500 Salisbury Road. Garrett, with an elite team of executives and employees has worked hand in hand to provide outstanding performance and client service. Most recently Garrett has expanded Jacksonville by doubling its size to over 16,000 square feet and will be adding 95 employees by Q4 2013.
Currently, Garrett serves as Treasurer, CEO and COO. He oversees over 175 employees and continues to grow the company at a blistering pace. Garrett concluded, “It’s all about the people and teamwork.
