Solutions4MDs, a provider of complete revenue cycle management services to medical practices, is pleased to announce that it has been hired by Western Wayne Medical Center to handle the company’s medical billing and collection needs. Located in Goldsboro, Western Wayne Medical Center is a family medicine clinic providing primary care services to male and female patients over the age of four. They provide onsite lab and x-ray services and have state-of-the-art bone density scanning equipment for detecting osteoporosis.
Western Wayne Medical Center Office Manager, Shannon Pate, said that when the person hired to handle the practice’s insurance left after eight years, they found themselves unable to step into that position. “It was a very vulnerable position to be in,” said Pate. “I did not want our money flow to drop off while we were in the process of hiring and training a new employee. I began to think of the expenses associated with an in-house employee and decided that outsourcing this function was the right solution for us.”
Solutions4MDs Partner, Trent Shelton, said that Western Wayne Medical Center’s situation is one that he’s heard several times. “It’s hard for a small business to lose an integral part of their team. Individuals who handle billing and insurance are invaluable and replacing these people is a daunting and costly endeavor,” said Shelton. “We’re pleased to be working with Shannon [Pate] and Western Wayne Medical Center and are glad that we’ve been able to give them peace of mind in knowing that handling their insurance needs is one less thing they have to worry about.”
Pate has been very satisfied with her decision to outsource their insurance needs and said the transition has been smooth and seamless. “Within two weeks of our first contact with Solutions4MDs, they logged into our system and began work from their office,” said Pate. “Our money flow remained constant the first month and actually increased the next month. Solutions4MDs has also made some profitable suggestions for our practice, not to mention the stress factor they have removed. I see no reason to change this type of relationship for this position in our practice.”
