According to WebRecon CEO Jack Gordon, the second half of July saw the ARM industry crack 5000 FDCPA/FCRA lawsuits for the year. This is nearly three months ahead of last year – in 2008, 5000 lawsuits wasn’t reached until the 2nd week of October. In 2007, 5000 wasn’t reached until the first week of December.
“This shows that the pace of new FDCPA/FCRA litigation is only accelerating,” said Gordon. “Look for this milestone to be hit next year before Memorial Day.”
