Practicare Medical Management, Inc. and DrFirst, Inc. announced a new partnership to add true EDI e-prescribing capabilities to their existing suite of technology products. This healthcare technology partnership will bring Practicare clients new patient safety capabilities as well as improved workflows around the prescribing process, leading to cost savings for physician practices. Through its relationship with DrFirst, Practicare reduced its time to market with a comprehensive eprescribing solution, ensuring that its users would quickly gain access to the full capabilities of DrFirst Rcopia, a time-tested, top of the line e-prescribing application.

Connecting Practicare with DrFirst’s Rcopia GoldRx Certified e-prescribing Solution will substantially enhance customers’ ability to send and receive renewal scripts electronically to pharmacies and enhance clinical decision support functionality for drug/drug and drug/allergy interactions. In addition, connecting with Rcopia will allow users to access broad medication history for individual patients, send electronic prescriptions to mail order pharmacies, share patient data with other providers, and reduce pharmacy callbacks due to non-formulary compliance.
