LiveVox Inc., the provider of Private VoIP Cloud™ contact center applications, today announced PCI-DSS re-certification by Verizon Business of its fully burstable Cloud contact center platform with Cloud Switching.

“LiveVox is committed to helping optimize contact center operations by providing simplified and more effective technology,” says Louis Summe, Chief Executive Officer, LiveVox. “Part of that is the ability to ensure scalable data security across multi-site enterprises without the need for complex configurations and data duplication.”

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle cardholder information for the major debit, credit, prepaid, e-purse, ATM, and POS cards. Certification is an annual process that requires an extensive audit by an external Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), such a Verizon Business, that has been approved by the PCI Security Standards Council. More information regarding PCI-DSS certification can be found at https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/.

Scalable PCI-certification is one of the many features available with the LiveVox Compliance Suite. Others include:

  • Cell phone scrubs and click-to-call manual dialing
  • Account penetration settings
  • State dialing configuration GUI
  • Integrated call recording for inbound, outbound and manual dials
  • Manual dialing time zone controls
  • Real-time agent monitoring and reporting
  • DNC (Do-Not-Call) list scrubs

For multi-site contact centers, Cloud-based PCI-certification is just one benefit of leveraging the LiveVox platform. Cloud-switching enabled virtual agent queues removes feature limitations of site-based technology and unifies agents from across the global enterprise – facilitating features such as global sub-second warm transfers, dynamic reporting and real-time visibility/control of all agents, campaigns and call activity.

“Obtaining PCI-certification for multi-site operations based on premise technology requires large investments in capital, time and IT resources,” says Summe.”At the core of the problem is site-based equipment that was simply built to service a single location and thus forcing contact centers to implement complex and costly configurations in hopes of linking them. That technology is over 20 years old and is not a sustainable business strategy – LiveVox is proving that option obsolete.
