Optio Solutions, LLC., an accounts receivable management company, and CrossCheck, Inc., a national payment approval and guarantee company, announced a donation of over $8,800 to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Employees participated in company-hosted fund raising events for several months leading up to the relay weekend on September 17 and 18, 2011 in Petaluma, California.
“The $8800 we contributed was an impressive increase over our donation last year and really shows off the commitment our employees made to raising funds for this year’s event. We had tremendous participation by our employees as donors and volunteers. Events such as Relay For Life give businesses such as ours an opportunity to support important causes and get involved in the community. We look forward to being part of next year’s event,” said Chris Schumacher, Optio Solutions President and CEO.
Employees for Optio Solutions and CrossCheck raised funds by donating to “dress down” days, parking raffles, a pizza lunch and competitive penny drive. The CrossCheck/Optio Solutions team members took turns walking and running the track over a 24-hour period starting Saturday morning. Seventy teams participated in the Petaluma Relay For Life event and raised over $195,000. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life events are held throughout the US and in 19 other countries.
