Executive Bio: Karen R. Bowman

Karen Bowman is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Convergys Corporation, a global leader in relationship management.

Karen is responsible for overseeing activities and transactions related to Convergys’ corporate securities and legal compliance, contract management and administration, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, global business relations, corporate social responsibility, business ethics and compliance, and employment and labor relations.  Karen reports to Dave Dougherty, president and chief executive officer of Convergys.

Prior to her current appointment, Bowman was president of the Company’s HR Management (formerly Employee Care) line of business.

Before joining Convergys, Bowman was associated with the Frost & Jacobs firm and the Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett firm, where she concentrated on complex business reorganizations and business litigation. Bowman is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Michigan.

Karen earned her bachelor’s degree in political science, with highest honors, from the University of Oklahoma and a juris doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
